Calling Old Cryptian golfers and friends! Do consider joining us at Rodway Hill, a few miles outside Gloucester, for the annual golf competition played on the morning of Founders’ Day. Please note the first tee time is 1015, not 0930 as stated in the reservation form recently emailed to members. The School is in desperate need of an Appeals Clerk to take notes at Appeal Hearings for places in Year 7 in September 2015. Sue Wales, the School Secretary needs someone ‘signed up’ very soon – however the appeals won’t be until June. Full training will be given. Payment will also be made. In brief, the AGM, the Reunion Dinner and the Ladies Dinner will again be held at Gloucester Rugby (Kingsholm) on Saturday, 21st March at 6.45 p.m. Do come earlier if you would like to watch England v. Once again the Crypt School have been invited to take part in the annual Remembrance Day service in Whitehall, to be followed by the March round to Horseguards taking the salute from a member of the Royal Family on the way. It is a significant honour for Old Boys of the School to participate in this National event. You do not have to be a member of the Old Cryptians’ Club to take part. The London Old Cryptians’ Club will be holding their annual dinner on Saturday, 8th November 2014 at the Olde Cheshire Cheese in Fleet Street, London. A short AGM at 6.30 p.m. will be followed by dinner in the Williams Room at 7.00 p.m. The cost of the meal is £25, or for those attending for the first time, £12.
Our guest speaker this year is Professor John Morehen JP MA DLitt PhD FRCO(Chm) FRCCO Hon.FGCM. John is Immediate Pastmaster, The Worshipful Company of Musicians, Past-President, The Incorporated Society of Musicians, Emeritus Professor, Faculty of Arts at The University of Nottingham and OC.
