Cenotaph Ceremony and March – 9th November

Once again the Crypt School have been invited to take part in the annual Remembrance Day service in Whitehall, to be followed by the March round to Horseguards taking the salute from a member of the Royal Family on the way.  It is a significant honour for Old Boys of the School to participate in this National event.  You do not have to be a member of the Old Cryptians’ Club to take part.  For further details please contact Richard Briggs on 01344 485273 or at Richard.Briggs@theiet.org

BEST CRICKET PLAYERS EVER – the Match on 3rd August

Greg Barton has assembled a squad of (possibly?) the best cricket players ever – all Old Cryptians – to field a team and play a Gloucester City side on Sunday 3rd August.  A few more players would be welcome but support would also be great.  Come along to the Spa ground in time for a 2 p.m. start and give these vintage cricketers your full support.  greg.barton@gregbarton.demon.co.uk

Posting of Cryptian delayed

Apologies to Old Cryptians who are waiting for the delivery, by post, of the magazine.  We rely on the helpful School Office to carry out this task however the staff are on holiday for a couple of weeks. (Posted on behalf of Howard Allen.)

Old Cryptians’ Club Blazer

The very smart blazer, very popular with members of the OCRFC, is available to order and can be proudly worn by all Old Cryptians.  Contact Greg Barton at greg.barton@gregbarton.demon.co.uk with  Blazer order form (completed) as an attachment.

Founders’ Day Supper – invite your friends!

Friends of Old Cryptians are most welcome at this event.  Howard Allen reports that there are still some places at the Founders’ Day supper to be held in the Parliament Rooms attached to Gloucester Cathedral and the event is open to all supporters, not just members of the OCC.  The supper on 30th June will be a fitting end to a memorable day in the Crypt School’s 475th Anniversary Year.  Contact Howard without delay on 01452 812638 or email him at howardallen80@btinternet.com
