Headmaster will move to Plymouth

The Headmaster, Jonathan Standen, has announced that he has accepted the post of Headmaster at Plymouth College.  He will leave the Crypt School at Easter 2015 and will be succeeded by Nick Dyer, the current Deputy Head.  Jonathan will be sadly missed by the whole Crypt Community.  He has been an excellent Head and leaves the School in a commanding position.  The last OFSTED report was brilliant and the Summer GCSE results were the best ever achieved.  An excellent, new £1.8M Science, Mathematics and Engineering block will open next year due, in great measure, to the Headmaster’s efforts.

The Committee of the Old Cryptians’ Club has benefitted from Jonathan’s unstinting support and he has attended many OCC events during his time as Headmaster.  The Club wish him well when he takes up his appointment at Plymouth.
