Norwich Nonagenarians

We received this charming letter from Derek Pearce (1934 – 1939)

Dear Mr. Richard Briggs,
Corton House is a care home. Coming down in the lift to breakfast I was joined
by a new resident.  I enquired of his name and where he came from.  The answer
was Gloucester. I asked him if he was an old Cryptian. Yes he answered.
His name is Aubrey Norton Hill.
I do not know what the odds are of two ninety year old Cryptians meeting up in
the same care home in Norwich miles from Gloucester - it’s beyond my maths.
I feel we both have had interesting lives and we do spend a little time
reminiscing about the Crypt.
Enclosed please find copy of a photograph taken of us this week.
Aubrey is in the dark shirt, I am in the blue sweater.
My kind regards,
Your sincerely
Derek Pearce.
