By changing the URL you use to access Amazon you could be donating 0.5% of the purchase price to the Bursary Fund every time you shop. So far, OCs have raised £75 with no effort required! Next time you are tempted to cycle Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise money for the bursary, think again and set up the the Amazon way – no blisters, no planning, no effort.
The simplest way to do this is to use the smile.amazon.co.uk from any PC, laptop or mobile device. If this is your first time there, you will be asked to accept cookies – I recommend not accepting all cookies and use the confirm my choice option. Annoyingly this takes you away from the page you want to be on, So, go back to https://smile.amazon.co.uk/ch/1094627-0 and select Start Shopping.
You may need to log in at this point, but from now on you should be raising money each time you shop at https://smile.amazon.co.uk/ch/1094627-0
If you use the Amazon app on an Android phone/tablet you can set up smile.amazon in the Settings.
The instructions seem to suggest that it is the same for the iPhone/iPad app, but I don’t see it on my phone. Instead I have saved the page using “Add to home screen” from the share options. This saves the page you are looking at as a new “app” on your home screen (with the Amazon Smile logo).
